Home Sweet Home

Home to me is definitely more than a roof over my head. It's a place that I find comfort, happiness, rejuvenation, creativity, and ultimately a rhythm to my life. I mean honestly, think about all of the activities and memories that take place within our homes. I've always felt that my home was an extension of my family. I've even felt a sense of loss or sadness when having to move from one house to another. However, I would replace that loss by gaining a new connection with the next house. I would quickly personalize the space to feel more at home.

I think it's so important to value the place you live. I feel that what you put into it is what you get in return. Home can truly be a reflection of yourself and your everyday life. Therefore I'm mindful about how I use my home and what I bring into it. I try to keep my home simple for the sake of sanity and less maintenance. I'm big on the less is more motto! I also try to stay organized which gives me a feeling of clarity, both in my home and life in general. Additionally, by adhering to these two guidelines I'm instantly given more time! Something we're all in need of!!! Lastly, creating the right atmosphere can be as equally important. What you surround yourself with has the capability of shaping your daily perspective. Your homes atmosphere can comfort you when you're not well, welcome you when you've been gone and ground you when you're feeling overwhelmed. "Home Sweet Home" definitely comes to mind when I think about this particular topic. What does home mean to you?

On that note, I thought I'd share a few photos of my home for fun! I'll being sharing more in the future as well. I would love to exchange ideas with you guys about projects, DIY, gardening, entertaining….all things HOME! Truthfully, this topic intertwines with my art as well. When I'm making something I'm often thinking about it hanging on someone's wall. Needless to say, there will be many more conversations regarding all of the above.

Thoughts for next week:

I'll be sharing a bit of my work process and how I develop the wall hangings. I'll also give you a peek at what's in store for upcoming artwork and the style I'm focusing on. Additionally, the holidays are around the corner so I'll be chatting about some projects surrounding that. If I'm quick on my feet I'll be making and offering special gift items for the holiday season. Did I just put that in writing? Yikes, stay tuned!

Also, quick update! I decided to add a newsletter to share the latest projects, sales, upcoming events, blog-posts and so on. If interested, you can subscribe on my CONTACT Page. Hope to see you there!

Have a good weekend!
